IF THE FREQUENCY DOES NOT NEED TO BE USED, PROMPTLY START THE NET.

Preamble – Attention all stations. Attention all stations. Now calling the K1UVM Weekly Net. My amateur radio callsign is __________. My name is ____________, located in ______________. The purpose of this net is to exchange radio related information, message handling when applicable, personal welfare and club bulletins. This is a directed net, which means all traffic and calls must go through net control. This net meets every Sunday at 1900hrs Eastern Time on the United Veterans of Maine amateur radio club repeater. In the event this repeater is not available for use, our alternate net frequency is 146.560 simplex. All amateur radio operators holding a Technician class or above license are welcome to check in. You do not have to be a club member to check in and newcomers are always welcome. Before taking check-ins, we would like to check for emergency or priority traffic. Any station with emergency or priority traffic only, please come now with your callsign, name and location, over.

We’re now going to start taking check-ins. Any stations that are mobile meaning you’re in motion, portable meaning you’re operating from your home QTH or short on time only, please come now with your callsign, name and location, over.

Any stations operating on emergency or backup power, please come now with your callsign, name and location, over.

We are now looking for general check-ins. Please come now with your callsign, name and location, over.

[Give announcements and/or club related bulletins.]

At this time, we are done with our club announcements and I am going to open the net back up for comments and further check-ins. As mentioned earlier in this net, all calls must go through Net Control. If you are portable or mobile, please let me know and you will be picked up first. Any station that would like to comment on the announcements or check in to the K1UVM Weekly Net, please come now with your callsign, name and location, over.

Closing the net – I would like to thank all of you who have taken the time to check in and be here this evening. Without you, this net would not be on the air. For more information on this net and other nets hosted by our club, please visit us online at www.k1uvm.us. The K1UVM Weekly Net is now closed and secured at {current time}. I am now returning the United Veterans of Maine Amateur Radio Club repeater, along with any connected Echolink nodes back to regular amateur radio use.
