UVMARC General Class License Course

Starting February 25th, 2019
Classes are from 6:00pm until 8:00pm

The General class amateur radio license course will give you all of the education needed to pass the Element 3 examination, which gives you the opportunity to use all of the HF bands! To take this course, you must hold a current, valid FCC issued Technician class amateur radio license. Listed below is the schedule for this course.

25 FEB: Introduction; Procedures & Practices (Lessons 1 & 2)
26 FEB: Digital Modes (Lesson 3)
27 FEB: Rules & Regulations (Lesson 4)
4 MAR: Components & Circuits - Part 1 of 2 (Lesson 5)
5 MAR: Components & Circuits - Part 2 of 2 (Lesson 6)
11 MAR: Radio Signals & Equipment (Lesson 7)
12 MAR: Antennas (Lesson 8)
13 MAR: Propagation (Lesson 9)
18 MAR: Safety (Lesson 10)
19 MAR: Review and Study Session
20 MAR: Examination Session at 1730hrs

The instructor does require that students show up on time. Class will promptly start at 6:00pm each evening. If you show up late at any time, you will not be given materials to catch up. The instructor's time is valuable and responsibility is placed on each student to maintain an on time attendance each evening.

The cost for this course is $85 if you already have the ARRL General Class License Manual. If you don't, there will be an additional fee of $35. You can register by filling out the form below. Minimum required to hold a class is 10.
